Today was a long day at work, so I will keep this short. For some reason I am really into old prop planes. The DC-3, Spitfire, and Invader are of new interest to me. I did a google search the other day and found a few sites that have some great British classics to add to you library.
1) Classic British Flight Sim – A site containing work by David Maltby, Rick Piper, Derek Palmer, and Dave Garwood. Aircraft include the Hawker Siddeley HS478, Dragon Rapide, and DH104 Dove.
2) Classic British Files – A site more along the lines of Avsim, with a forum and file library. Of particular interest here is Manfred Jahn’s Avro Lancastrian, a version of the Lancaster bomber that was modified for long-haul VIP and freighter use. There are a number of other goodies there as well.
3) David Maltby Flight Simulations – This one has some more modern jets, including the DH106 Comet and Vickers VC10.
